Redesigning how 17 million people watch, explore, and connect with content is no small task, but that’s exactly what we took on. Together with Valsplat, we worked on reimagining the platform for NPO. While Valsplat focused on user validation, we crafted a scalable design system that works seamlessly across mobile, tablet, website, and even TV. Our goal was simple: to create a deeply personal viewing experience while inspiring users to discover new content and explore fresh perspectives.
COLLABORATION
We led the design efforts, building a flexible and scalable design system that became the foundation for NPO’s platform. From mapping out user flows to refining every detail, we worked closely with both Valsplat and NPO’s internal teams to make sure the platform was intuitive and inspiring. Once the system was ready, we coached NPO’s in-house designers, handing over the tools they needed to take the platform forward with confidence.
We wanted to strike the perfect balance: making the platform feel personal and tailored to each user, while encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone to discover new content. On top of that, the design needed to work consistently and beautifully across a wide range of devices, from phones and tablets to TVs. It was about more than just looking good; it was about creating a connected experience that felt natural on every screen.
IMPACT
The result was a unified design system that now powers NPO’s entire platform. It’s flexible enough to work across all devices, ensuring users get a consistent and engaging experience no matter where they watch. The platform feels personal, helping people find content they love while sparking curiosity to try something new. By training the internal design team, we made sure the system was future-proof, so NPO can continue evolving it with the same care and creativity.
This wasn’t just about designing a product, it was about helping people explore, connect, and see the world from new perspectives.
